Deceive Inc. Finally Has A Launch Date, No Deception Detected

Deceive Inc Launch Date

It won’t be long now. Today, Sweet Bandits Studios and Tripwire Presents finally announced the launch date for their super-spy game Deceive Inc. On March 21, the game will officially open to players. That’s not to say those interested can’t start playing a bit earlier – possibly even as early as February 6 – provided they’re playing via Steam.

Those on Steam will be able to play February 6 – 13 for free as part of Steam Next Fest. Those playing on consoles will have to wait a bit longer to jump into the game with the launch of the cross-platform open beta. This will kick off on March 10 and run through March 13. Again, it will be free, but this time for all platforms that the game will be available on at launch.

I know I said “free” a few times in the paragraph above, but do keep in mind that’s just for those two events. If you’d like to continue playing the game after launch, you’re gonna need to drop some money. There are two options here – a Standard Edition for $20 and the Black Tie Edition which will run players $30. In comparison to most games, that doesn’t seem like too much. Although, the big difference between the two editions is that the Black Tie edition comes with “Black Tie” outfits, a “Black Tie” profile portrait and title, and 1,000 Deceive Inc. Bonds.

At launch, players will have access to all eight agents and two multiplayer maps: “Hard Sell” and “Silver Reef”. Hard sell is a mansion on a private island and therefore a mix of courtyards and rooms with tight spaces. Silver Reef takes place in an underwater luxury resort located under the North Sea. This map is made up of glass tunnels, restaurants, and guest rooms.
